Plein Air
The experience of being outdoors is both grounding and expansive. To paint in the open air is to feel exhilarated, immersed in a world that seems boundless. These plein air works carry not only the landscape before me, but also the instinctive, physical act of painting itself—free, alive, and unconfined.
Many were created in the summers of Maine, where sky, grass, water, and land seem to embrace the body. In those moments, illness and limitation fade, replaced by light, sound, and a sense of healing presence. I aim to share that sense of exhilaration and freedom—of being absorbed in atmosphere, space, and the living energy of the landscape.
