Photography
Photography is a constant thread in my artistic life. I carry my camera as I move through the world—whether walking near home, traveling to Maine, or seeking out quiet places by the water. Many of these images later become seeds for my paintings, small visual notes that hold the essence of a moment like sketches.
I’m drawn to beauty that feels like a breath of relief—light spilling over water in the warmth of late day, the moon casting a silver path across the sea, reflections underwater shifting with the wind. These moments feel like medicine, reminders of hope and renewal. Over time, this way of seeing has deepened, shaped by my journey with chronic illness, teaching me to notice the fragile, luminous things that endure
